  I have been in the insurance and financial services industry for over 20 years helping people meet their insurance and financial goals. My spouse and my 2 kids keep me busy while I am not at work traveling to many different sporting events. I have lived my entire life in the Chicagoland area and I am an avid Chicago sports fan. I enjoy traveling and have a goal to make it to every professional football and baseball stadium.

  Marcella (Marcy) Berent began her career in the insurance industry in 2016 and joined the Jason Herbers Agency in 2021 as the Administrative Assistant to the President. In her role, Marcy provides essential support and services for Auto insurance, Home insurance, Renters insurance, Motorcycle insurance, and Boat insurance, allowing for smooth operations and effective customer service. Marcy thrives on the everyday challenges of her job and enjoys finding creative insurance options to meet diverse customer needs. Outside of work, Marcy has a personal touch with her two chickens and is currently expanding her skills by learning how to work on cars, reflecting her hands-on approach and enthusiasm for new challenges.

  Jamal Tabaja began his career in the insurance industry in 2021 and joined the Agency at the Woodbridge location in 2025, where he serves as a Sales Team Lead. He focuses on Home insurance, Auto insurance, Renters insurance, Motorcycle insurance, and Boat insurance, bringing both knowledge and leadership to his role. Jamal is passionate about helping people feel prepared and protected through every stage of life. What Jamal enjoys most about his work is informing both colleagues and customers how insurance can step in during life’s more difficult moments. He believes understanding coverage is just as important as having it, and he takes pride in informing others so they can make confident, informed decisions. Jamal enjoys reading and spending time outdoors with his two dogs in his free time.   I grew up in the south suburbs. I began my career in insurance over 30 years ago, working in underwriting, product and as a sales leader. The commitment to customers is one reason why most of my career has been representing Allstate. I enjoy the conversations we have about protecting their property as well as their family. I’ve been married to my bride for over 30 years and we have 4 grown kids, a few dogs, a rabbit and some birds. I also play in a 3 man band throughout the city.

  Kristin joined the Jason Herbers team in 2020 and has been representing Allstate since 1995. She is dedicated to developing and maintaining relationships with customers in order to provide a great customer experience. Kristin was raised in Addison and Glen Ellyn. She graduated from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. After college, she moved to Florida for four years to work in management. Later, she returned to Illinois and began working in the insurance industry.

  I have Represented Allstate for the last 15 years and absolutely love what I do. The customer service role I do in the agency has allowed me the opportunity to get to know the customers personally and help them review their coverages and how the policies work to protect them. I currently reside in Spring Grove with my husband and have three children that we are very proud of. We have also been blessed with two beautiful grandchildren that make me smile every day.   Carol joined the Herbers Insurance team in 2019 and has been representing Allstate since 2000. Working out of our Woodridge office, she loves building relationships with the customers she helps every day. She believes we work hard for what we have in life and the threat of a disaster or the unexpected shouldn't take that away. Carol's a city girl and was born and raised in Chicago. Now that she's an Indiana resident, she loves spending more time with family. They love taking their three dogs for hikes.

Recently I took 1st place in a local bodybuilding competition and I would love to one day win at a professional level. I am also a mom to two fur babies Layla and Ahsoka! They are two of the sweetest huskies you’d ever meet.
